Police Chief Orders Offensive Against Bandits in Kaduna

On Tuesday, during a visit to the Kaduna State Police Command headquarters, Deputy Inspector General of Police Mohammed Sulaiman Abdul instructed police personnel to maintain a sustained offensive against bandits and criminal elements in Kaduna State. He emphasized that criminals should no longer find safe havens within or outside the state.

Abdul conveyed a message from Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu, commending recent operational successes and urging intensified efforts against criminal gangs. He highlighted the importance of intelligence-led, technology-driven strategies to prevent crime and ensure that bandits think twice before striking.

Abdul identified Kaduna as a strategic state vulnerable to sophisticated criminal networks and directed the command to implement joint operations and intelligence sharing with neighboring states. He outlined six police priorities, including intelligence-led policing, respect for human rights, and enhanced welfare for police personnel.

Kaduna State Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad affirmed the commitment to implementing the Inspector General's vision for improved security.
