Wande Coal Credits God for His Success, Not Don Jazzy

Nigerian singer Wande Coal stated that his success should not be attributed solely to Don Jazzy, his former record label boss, but rather to God. In an interview with Channels TV, Wande Coal emphasized that while he partnered with Don Jazzy, it was God who enabled his achievements.

He expressed that some people mistakenly believe Don Jazzy was solely responsible for his rise, but he views it as a collaboration between two talented individuals. Wande Coal was discovered by Don Jazzy and D’banj in 2006 after performing at a campus event at the University of Lagos, leading to his signing with Mo’Hits the following day.

He gained fame with the compilation album Curriculum Vitae in 2007 and solidified his career with his debut album, ‘Mushin 2 Mo’Hits’, released in 2009. After the fallout between Don Jazzy and D’banj in 2012, Wande Coal joined Mavin Records and later established his own label, Black Diamond Entertainment, after leaving Mavin in 2013.
