Lakowe Lakes to Host Sunshine Tour Golf Qualifiers in April

The Lakowe Lakes Golf Club is set to host the maiden Sunshine Tour golf qualifiers from April 13 to April 15. This tournament will feature top professional golfers from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Senegal, and Gabon.

Femi Olagbenro, the golf manager at Lakowe Lakes, reaffirmed the club's commitment to raising standards and expanding competitive opportunities for emerging players. The qualifiers will secure spots for participants in the prestigious Sunshine Tour across Southern and Eastern Africa.

This 54-hole event is expected to mark a significant milestone in golf development in Nigeria and West Africa, attracting increased international attention and fostering development programs. Additionally, it will provide a pathway to the main Sunshine Tour next season, with participants having the opportunity to earn points toward their official world golf ranking.

The host club is intensifying preparations to present the course in optimal condition ahead of the three-day competition.
