Premlall's DP World Tour Win Nears Woods' Record

Yurav Premlall, a 22-year-old golfer from South Africa, achieved his maiden victory on the DP World Tour at the Catalunya Championship, finishing with a remarkable final round score of 63. Premlall's performance secured him a win margin of 14 shots over compatriot Shaun Norris.

This victory placed him just one shot away from equaling Tiger Woods' record for the largest win margin, which Woods set when he won the U.S. Open in 2000 by 15 shots.

Premlall had also carded a 63 in the third round of the tournament and recorded 10 birdies without a single bogey. For his achievement, he received a top prize of €400,000 (approximately $345,000) and an additional €50,000 (around $36,700) for setting a course record.

Following this win, Premlall moved from 598th to 250th in the world rankings.
