Gombe Governor Appoints New Head of Service

Gombe State Governor Yahaya has announced the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi as the new Head of Service, effective immediately. This decision was communicated through a statement by the governor's spokesman, Ismaila Uba Misilli.

Njodi succeeds Alhaji Ahm Kasimu Abdullahi, who retired upon reaching the mandatory 35 years of public service. Professor Njodi brings extensive administrative experience and technical expertise to the role, along with a strong reform-oriented mindset.

Until this appointment, he served as the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Governor Yahaya emphasized the importance of sustaining and deepening ongoing reforms in the state's public service, promoting professionalism, discipline, and innovation across various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

The governor also commended the outgoing Head of Service for his meritorious service and wished him peace in his retirement.
