Gombe State's IGR Surges to N40 Billion in 6 Years Under Governor Yahaya's Leadership

Gombe State's IGR has experienced substantial growth under Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's leadership, reaching N40.8 billion in 2025 from N6.8 billion in 2019. This surge represents a nearly 500% increase within six years, with the IGR doubling from N20.72 billion in 2024.

The state exceeded its revenue target of N25.7 billion in 2025 by achieving N40 billion. Governor Yahaya's commitment to strengthening revenue collection systems, improving taxpayer compliance, and expanding the tax base has been instrumental in this fiscal achievement.

The increase in revenue inflow has supported the state government in expanding social infrastructure, enhancing public service delivery, and funding critical development projects that directly impact the lives of Gombe residents.
