Gombe Governor Inuwa Urges Ashaka Cement Expansion

On Wednesday, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya met with Ibrahim Aminu, the managing director of Ashaka Cement Plc, at the Government House in Gombe. During the meeting, Governor Yahaya called for the company to expand employment opportunities for local residents and strengthen its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives as it embarks on a significant expansion program and transitions to HBM Nigeria Plc.

He recognized Ashaka Cement as a strategic industrial partner in Gombe State, commending its contributions to the state's economic growth and industrial development. The governor emphasized the need for the planned expansion to create more job opportunities, particularly for qualified indigenes from the host community, aligning with his administration's focus on inclusive growth as a central aspect of its development agenda.
