Gombe Lawmaker Abdullahi El-Rashe Defects from PDP to APC, Cites Governor Yahaya's Leadership

Gombe State lawmaker Abdullahi El-Rashe, also known as Bala Kelli, has officially defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The defection was announced during a visit to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya at the Gombe State Liaison Office in Abuja.

El-Rashe attributed his decision to join the APC to Governor Yahaya's progress-oriented leadership style and people-oriented policies. He also mentioned the development strides recorded across the state under the APC administration.

El-Rashe highlighted the influence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's reform-driven agenda as a key factor in his decision to switch parties. Governor Yahaya warmly received the lawmaker into the APC, commending his courage and conviction.

He assured El-Rashe of a level playing field within the party and urged collaboration with stakeholders to advance the development agenda of the APC. The governor encouraged federal lawmakers to work towards delivering dividends of democracy to the constituents in Gombe State and the country at large.
