Gombe ADC Faction Demands INEC Remove Mark's NWC

The Gombe-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), under the leadership of Hon. Nafiu Bala Gomb, has formally requested the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately remove the name of Senator David Mark and his National Working Committee (NWC) from its official portal.

This request follows a court ruling that deemed the actions of the NWC, led by David Mark, as null and void. The faction emphasized that INEC must comply with the court's directive to withdraw recognition of the Mark-led NWC.

Furthermore, the Gombe faction issued a warning to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, stating he should refrain from presenting himself as the ADC's presidential candidate for the upcoming 2027 general elections, asserting that he is neither a current nor a past presidential candidate for the party. They demanded that Abubakar cease using the party's name and logo to prevent misinformation.

The faction also provided a seven-day ultimatum for a public apology from Abubakar, threatening legal action if their demands are not met.
