Gombe Local Government Elections Reported Peaceful by Governor

Governor Yahaya Umaru reported that the local government elections in Gombe were conducted peacefully and credibly. After casting his vote, he praised the impressive voter turnout and the orderly behavior of the electorate.

He noted that Dr. Jamilu Gwamna, the governorship candidate, also cast his vote. Governor Yahaya encouraged residents to maintain peaceful conduct while exercising their democratic rights without intimidation.

He expressed confidence that the elections would yield positive outcomes and described the atmosphere as calm. The governor stated that the electoral process was smooth across the state, with no reported problems.

He anticipated that results would begin to emerge shortly after the completion of the vote counting process.
