Gombe PDP Aspirant Saleh Protests Primary Exclusion

Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh, a gubernatorial aspirant for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, has protested his exclusion from the party's primary election. In a letter dated May 27, 2026, addressed to the chairman of the appeal panel, Saleh claimed he was wrongfully excluded from the primary election process.

He alleged that he was neither invited nor notified about the primary election, which was originally scheduled for May 24, 2026, but was later shifted to May 26, 2026. Saleh expressed his concerns regarding the conduct of the election, stating that he became aware of the results through social media, where Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami was declared the sole winner.

He urged the appeal panel to investigate the irregularities surrounding the election, describing it as a "kangaroo arrangement." Saleh expressed confidence that the appeal panel would ensure a fair resolution to the matter.
