Gombe Police Launch Crackdown on Unregistered Vehicles

The Gombe State Police Command has commenced enforcement operations aimed at cracking down on unregistered vehicles. DSP Buhari Abdullahi, representing the police public relations office, described unregistered vehicles as a significant threat to public safety, as they can conceal number plates and evade law enforcement.

The police emphasized that vehicle registration plays a vital role in intelligence gathering and crime detection, noting that criminals often exploit unregistered vehicles to carry out illegal activities. The command has warned that anyone found violating vehicle registration regulations will face the full weight of the law.

Commissioner Umar Ahm Chuso urged all motorists to comply with vehicle registration laws to support efforts in improving security in the state. The police reaffirmed their commitment to protecting lives and property, stating that these measures aim to enhance public confidence in the state's security system.
