Peter Obi Advocates for Good Governance in Nigeria

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democrat Congress (NDC) in the 2027 general elections, stated that good governance and competent leadership are the only means to ensure a bright future for Nigeria. His remarks were made during a high-level roundtable discussion organized by the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) titled "Nigeria 2027 and Beyond," held in Berlin, Germany.

Obi reiterated that Nigeria possesses the human and natural resources necessary to become a prosperous and secure global competitor. He stressed the need for accountable and compassionate leadership that prioritizes investments in education, healthcare, and enterprise, as well as the rule of law and strong political institutions.

Obi argued that Nigeria's future depends on making deliberate choices that will lead to unity and prosperity, moving away from poverty and division, and embracing good governance and fiscal responsibility to build a robust economy.
