Google Launches AI Image Creation Tool in Nigeria

Google has expanded access to its latest AI image generation tool in Nigeria, enabling users to create high-quality images directly within Google Search and Google Lens. Users can simply describe what they want to see, utilizing Google's newest image model, Nano Banana 2.

This initiative, announced in a company statement released on Friday, is part of Google's effort to democratize access to advanced AI tools for students, entrepreneurs, artists, and everyday creators. The model is designed to deliver detailed images that reflect user prompts, improving realism and consistency.

It is expected to benefit digital artists and illustrators, allowing them to develop comic animations and brand content. Notably, every AI-generated image will include an invisible digital watermark known as SynthID, alongside embedded metadata based on the C2PA standard, which serves as a digital fingerprint to identify AI-generated content.

This rollout marks a significant step in Google's drive to enhance AI accessibility for people across the globe, particularly benefiting African entrepreneurs.
