Adeleke Condemns Teen's Death, Accuses Police of Bias

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke condemned the killing of 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapad in Ilobu, accusing the police of bias and complicity in political violence. The incident occurred near the Irepodun Local Government secretariat, where Olapad was reportedly struck by a stray bullet during an armed attack.

Adeleke expressed sympathy for the victim's family and demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution of those involved, specifically naming a suspect known as Sahe Tanfeani. He criticized the police for allegedly failing to prevent the attack and for providing protection to local government chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeleke described the situation as disturbing, highlighting a pattern of police indulgence in political thuggery and violence against residents supporting the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The Osun State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the suspects involved in the shooting, with spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi confirming that investigations are underway.
