Gov. Aiyedatiwa Dismisses All Political Aides in Ondo

Gov. Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has terminated the appointments of all political aides, which includes senior special assistants (SSAs) and special assistants (SAs), effective immediately.

This decision, communicated through a statement by Adeniyan, is aimed at revitalizing the administration by injecting fresh capacity. The governor's move comes in anticipation of the 2027 general elections, indicating a strategic shift in his administration's approach.

The mass disengagement of aides is also noted to occur in the context of serious voluntary resignations among aides, suggesting a significant restructuring within the political framework of Ondo State. The governor plans to appoint 1,000 new aides as part of this overhaul, reflecting a proactive approach to governance and political strategy ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
