Kebbi State Special Adviser Muhammad Gado Marafa Dies

Muhammad Gado Suleiman Marafa, a Special Adviser to the Governor of Kebbi State, died on Thursday after a prolonged illness. He previously held positions as Commissioner for Information and Culture, Commissioner for Solid and Mineral Resources, and Chairman of the Board of the Kebbi State Health Management Agency (KECHEMA).

Marafa was also the Chairman of Fakai Local Government Area and a member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly. His passing has elicited condolences from political leaders and associates throughout Kebbi State, who recognized him as a respected elder and community leader.

Governor Nasir Idris expressed his sorrow over Marafa's death, acknowledging his significant contributions to the development of Kebbi State and his commitment to the people. The governor prayed for Allah to forgive Marafa’s shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

Marafa's burial is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026, at the 1st Izala Juma’at Mosque in Zuru, Kebbi State, following the Juma’at prayer.
