Kebbi Governor’s Aide Muhammad Gado Marafa Dies

Muhammad Gado Suleiman Marafa, who served as a Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, died on September 3, 2026, following a prolonged illness. Marafa had a notable political career, previously holding positions such as Commissioner for Information and Culture, Commissioner for Solid and Mineral Resources, Chairman of Fakai Local Government Area, and a member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly.

He also chaired the Kebbi State Health Management Agency, KECHEMA. Governor Nasir Idris expressed deep sadness over Marafa's passing, acknowledging him as a vital stakeholder from Fakai and a dedicated public servant who contributed significantly to the development of Kebbi State.

The governor extended condolences to Marafa's family and the residents of Kebbi State, praying for Allah to forgive Marafa's shortcomings and grant him eternal rest. Marafa's funeral is scheduled for September 4, 2026, at the 1st Izala Juma’at Mosque in Zuru.
