Governor Kefas Inspects Gembu-Cameroon Road Project

On a recent inspection of the 35km Gembu–Cameroon road project, Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State, expressed satisfaction with the progress made and assured that the project would be completed by June 2027.

The road, which links Nigeria to Cameroon, is located in the Sardauna Local Government Area. During the inspection, Governor Kefas interacted with the contractors to assess the pace and quality of the work.

He commended the federal government, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Works, for their contributions to infrastructure development in Taraba State. Additionally, he urged community stakeholders and construction companies to cooperate to ensure timely completion of the project.

As part of corporate social responsibility, Governor Kefas called on the contractors to consider constructing a school and healthcare center to benefit the host community. Matthew Legaci, a resource manager, reaffirmed the commitment to delivering quality work, while Gebon Timothi, the Chairman of Sardauna Local Government Area, pledged continued support for the project.
