Governor Otti Approves Land for Nigerian Air Force Training Base

On March 10, Abia State Governor Alex Otti approved the allocation of 100 hectares of land within the Abia Airport project site for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to build a training base. This decision follows a previous request from the NAF for an additional 50 hectares of land that had already been earmarked for the training base.

The approval was communicated during a meeting with a delegation from the NAF Ground Training Command, led by Air Vice Marshal Adebayo Gabriel Kehinde. Governor Otti expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Air Force for their partnership and emphasized the importance of the training center at the Abia Airport project site.

He assured that the runway, which is under the management of the federal government, is expected to be ready soon, further supporting the establishment of the training base.
