Otti Approves Land for Air Force Training Base in Abia

On Tuesday, Abia State Governor Alex Otti approved the allocation of 100 hectares of land within the Abia Airport project site for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to build a training base. This approval responds to an earlier request from the NAF for an additional 50 hectares of land already earmarked for the project.

Governor Otti received a delegation from the Nigerian Air Force Ground Training Command, led by Air Vice Marshal Adebayo Kehind, who expressed gratitude for the establishment of the base in Abia State. Governor Otti assured the delegation that the Abia Airport runway construction would soon be completed, and the state government is prepared to grant the required land.

He also committed to ensuring that contractors would handle the renovation of the Air Force office in Abia State, with a deadline for completion set for the end of April. This initiative aims to support the Nigerian Air Force's operations and enhance security in the region.
