Gov Yusuf Distributes 54,600 Bags of Rice for Ramadan

On Saturday, Gov Yusuf of Kano flagged off the distribution of 54,600 bags of rice as part of an annual Ramadan support program. The ceremony took place on Maganda Road in Kano and marked the commencement of this yearly tradition aimed at assisting less privileged individuals during the holy month.

The intervention will cover 44 local government areas in the state, with selected beneficiaries receiving the rice. A total of 91 trucks were allocated for this distribution, with 44 trucks designated for direct delivery to the 44 local government areas, while the remaining 47 trucks will be distributed to selected groups and individuals.

Gov Yusuf emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the distribution process and announced the formation of a committee at both state and local government levels to oversee the supply and delivery of the rice.
