Jigawa Distributes 600 Rice Bags to Islamic Scholars

In a gesture to support Islamic scholars and Tsangaya school students during Ramadan, the Jigawa State government distributed 600 bags of rice. The distribution took place at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) secretariat in Dutse, Jigawa State, and was facilitated by Ibrahim Masari, the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters.

Dr. Moham Sani Idri, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri Education, emphasized the administration's commitment to supporting Islamic education.

Abubakar Elleman, the Jigawa State Coordinator, reaffirmed the commission's dedication to the welfare of Tsangaya teachers and students. Dr.

Fatima Moham Goni, founder of the Grassroot Mobilis Better Nigeria Initiative, praised the commission's efforts. Beneficiaries, including 61-year-old Mallam Ahm Musa, expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting the importance of the rice for students during Ramadan.

Alaramma Fatihu Umar also acknowledged the relief it provides to fellow students struggling during the fasting period.
