Zulum Donates N150m to Families of Fallen Military Officers

On Thursday, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum donated a total of N150 million to the families of three military officers who lost their lives in a recent attack in the state. This gesture was made on behalf of the Borno State Government as part of Zulum's sustained support for the families of fallen heroes and wounded personnel engaged in counter-insurgency operations across the state.

During his visit on Wednesday, Zulum met with the family of the late Lieutenant Colonel Umar Farouq and Lieutenant Colonel Salihu Iliyasu, as well as Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Saidu Paiko. He first visited the family of the late Lieutenant Colonel Salihu Iliyasu in Abuja, where he expressed condolences and paid tribute to the officer's service to the nation.

Zulum presented a cheque of N50 million to Iliyasu's family and subsequently traveled to Kano State to present another cheque of N50 million to the family of the late Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Saidu Paiko.
