Kwara Governor Mourns Soldiers Killed in Kemanji Attack

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State expressed his condolences following the death of three Nigerian soldiers who were killed while repelling a terrorist attack on a military base in Kemanji, located in the Kaiama Local Government Area. The attack occurred in the early hours of Monday, with the governor confirming the incident through a post on social media.

He praised the bravery of the soldiers who fought to protect the community from the terrorists, ensuring that no civilians were kidnapped during the assault. In his statement, he emphasized the sacrifice made by these soldiers for their country and extended his sympathies to the families of the deceased.

Additionally, he announced a cash support of N20 million for the families of the slain soldiers and N5 million for the injured soldiers receiving treatment at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. The governor condemned the attack and reiterated the state government's commitment to supporting the families of the deceased and ensuring the safety of lives and property in the region.
