Alia Launches Youth Initiative to Support Tinubu in 2027

On Friday, Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State inaugurated the State Executive Committee of the Renewed Hope Youth Engagement (RHYE) in Makurdi. He tasked the committee with mobilizing youths at the grassroots level for active governance participation and to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

Alia, represented by his deputy Dr. Sam Ode, stated that young people are critical partners in nation-building and encouraged their involvement in politics while cautioning against violence, hate speech, and misinformation. National Coordinator of RHYE, Abdurazez Abubakar Kaka, emphasized the initiative's goal of making youths active contributors to development.

The Benue state coordinator, Fidelis Unongo, expressed the youth's commitment to supporting the Tinubu administration due to its various empowerment programs, including a student loan scheme and the 3 Million Technical Talent programme. APC chairman Benjamin Omale urged party members to strengthen grassroots structures and secure their permanent voter cards for the upcoming elections.
