Comedian KevinChinedu Rejects Bribe to Alter Skits

In a Monday interview on Arise TV's Arise 360 program, comedian Kevin Chinedu, popularly known as KevinBlak, disclosed that officials from a political party approached him with an offer of dollars to change his satirical skits that criticize politicians and the government. Chinedu, who is known for portraying Governor Amuneke in his skits, faced financial strain following his wife's caesarean section.

Despite the pressure, he refused the offer, recalling that officials tried to lure him to Abuja with promises of life-changing sums of money. He maintained that he would not compromise his principles for financial gain, stating, "I have some principles I maintain throughout my career." Chinedu emphasized the importance of integrity in his work and mentioned that he has friends who share similar values, making it difficult for them to be overwhelmed by monetary offers.
