Governor Mutfwang Enhances Security in Plateau Communities

Governor Mutfwang visited communities in Plateau State, specifically in Barkin Ladi and Bassa Local Government Areas, to reassure residents of their safety amid recent unrest involving unknown gunmen. During a strategic security meeting with stakeholders and security agencies, Mutfwang stated that the government has strengthened security operations to protect lives and property in vulnerable areas.

He acknowledged existing weaknesses in the security structure and indicated that improvements are underway in response mechanisms to prevent further attacks. Mutfwang expressed condolences to families affected by the unrest and emphasized that every life in Plateau State is valuable.

He disclosed allegations of possible involvement of security personnel in recent attacks, which will be thoroughly investigated. The governor also urged residents to support security agencies with credible information and stressed the importance of vigilance and cooperation within communities.

Additionally, he assured farmers of adequate security arrangements ahead of the farming season to ensure safe agricultural activities.
