Ekiti Governor Reappoints Retired Accountant General

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji reappointed Titilayo Olayinka as the Accountant General of the state just 24 hours after her retirement upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60. Olayinka previously served in this role from November 28, 2019, to August 24, 2026.

The governor's Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, justified this reappointment by stating that Ekiti State is following the trend of other states like Enugu, Osun, and Akwa Ibom, which have engaged retired accountants general for such positions.
