Anambra Government Vows Justice After Attack on CoS

On the night of May 31, 2026, an attack occurred on the convoy of the Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo in Anambra State, specifically in the Orumba North area near the Awka South border. The Anambra State Government, represented by Ifeoma Ejiofor, expressed shock over the incident, which resulted in the tragic loss of four lives.

The government has vowed to ensure justice for the victims and emphasized that such acts of violence will not deter their commitment to maintaining peace and security in the state. Anambra State Police Command, led by Commissioner Ikioy Orutugu, has been instructed to establish a special operations unit to apprehend those responsible for the attack within 48 hours.
