Grange School Dominates The Athletics School Games

Grange School achieved victory at The Athletics School Games, held at Yaba College of Technology, reaffirming its status as a leading institution in athletics within Lagos. The competition featured 20 schools divided into elementary and secondary categories.

Grange School's elementary pupils excelled, amassing the highest points and securing the coveted trophy. Ehuwa Obanla stood out by breaking the high jump record with a leap of 1.95 meters, surpassing his personal best of 1.75 meters, which drew applause from parents and spectators.

Dr. Seun Akinbohun, the founder of The Athletics School Games, acknowledged the challenges faced in organizing the tournament, particularly regarding funding and infrastructure, while expressing commitment to sustaining the annual event.

The tournament saw participation from 317 athletes, with many already earning spots on national teams, marking a significant moment in youth athletics in Lagos.
