Grenada Offers Visa-Free Entry for Nigerian Investors

Grenada has introduced a visa-free entry policy for Nigerian investors, set to take effect in July. This initiative aims to lower barriers for business travel and investment, allowing Nigerian entrepreneurs to explore opportunities beyond traditional markets.

Bidemi Sonoiki, the Honorary Consul of Grenada in Nigeria, emphasized the strategic importance of this move, which positions Grenada as a platform for Nigerian businesses seeking access to Caribbean markets. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to establish direct air connections between Nigeria and the Caribbean within the next six months.

Sonoiki identified key sectors for engagement, including tourism, healthcare, agriculture, fintech, and renewable energy. The Grenadian government aims to create a conducive environment for investment, leveraging its stable parliamentary system and membership in the Caribbean Community to provide access to a wider Caribbean market.

This development is expected to foster stronger commercial cooperation and enhance economic relations between Nigeria and Grenada.
