NAF Neutralizes Six Terrorist Commanders in Operations

The Civil Society for Peace and Security Development (CSPSD) commended the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for the successful elimination of six high-profile terrorist commanders and numerous fighters during recent air operations. This development is viewed as a significant step forward in ongoing counterinsurgency efforts across Nigeria.

The findings were presented by the national coordinator of CSPSD, Dr. Kabiru Muham, during an independent assessment in Abuja.

The operations, conducted in states including Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Katsina, Zamfara, and Sokoto, occurred between October 2025 and February 2026. Notable neutralizations included Boko Haram commander Basulhu Ubaida on January 22, 2026, and ISWAP leader Qaid Munzir, who was eliminated in a coordinated airstrike in the Timbuktu Triangle, Borno State.

The report also highlighted the destruction of Kachalla Dogo Sule's camp in Zamfara State in December 2025, emphasizing the importance of intelligence corroboration and field monitoring in these operations.
