Yoruba Leaders of Thought Commend Oyebamiji's Acceptance

The Yoruba Leaders of Thought praised Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the August 15 Osun State governorship election, for accepting the election results, which they stated helped to reduce tension and restore peace in the state. The group, led by APC chieftain Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, also congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election and acknowledged his support for President Bola Tinubu's 2027 presidential bid.

In a statement from National Secretary Bayo Aina in Ado Ekiti, the group announced the formation of a fact-finding and reconciliation committee to assess the APC's situation in the South-West, chaired by former Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker Asimiyu Alarape. Aina emphasized that Oyebamiji's acceptance of Adeleke's victory prevented further legal disputes and allowed Adeleke to focus on governance.

The group urged Yoruba politicians to adhere to legal frameworks and reject violence in politics.
