Femi Azeez Joins Brighton from Millwall for £15 Million

Femi Azeez has signed a four-year contract with Brighton & Hove Albion after completing a deadline-day transfer from Championship side Millwall. The deal, confirmed on Wednesday, is reportedly valued at up to £15 million, with an initial payment of £12.5 million and over £2.5 million in performance-related add-ons.

In his first interview with Brighton, Azeez, 25, expressed his focus on settling into the Premier League, acknowledging the significant step up from the Championship. He stated, “I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself just yet because obviously this is a massive jump.” Azeez highlighted a conversation with Brighton's coach, Fabian Hürzeler, as pivotal in his decision to join the club, noting the club's strong track record in player development.

He described the move as a dream come true, reflecting on his successful previous season where he scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 35 Championship appearances, contributing to Millwall's playoff run.
