Adamu Movement Demands Equal Security for 2027 Elections

The IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu Movement 2027 called on the Nasarawa state government to provide impartial security coverage and equal protection to all political parties and candidates in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections. This appeal was made by Isa Nathaniel, Chairman of Counter and Mobilisation for the IGP Adamu 2027 Movement, during a statement in Lafia.

The former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, who previously lost the governorship primary to Sen. Aliyu Wadada under the All Progressives Congress (APC), later joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to pursue his political ambitions. Nathaniel accused security agencies of selectively targeting and detaining members and supporters of Adamu while ignoring instigators from opposing camps.

The group demanded the immediate release of supporters currently in what they termed “unjust detention,” condemning the situation as shameful and indicative of bias in law enforcement.
