Mikel Obi Urged to Run for NFF Leadership Position

Ochoga Ameh, the North Central Coordinator of the Solidarity Forum, has called on former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel to move beyond criticizing the current administration of Nigerian football and seek a leadership role within the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF). Ameh's remarks came in response to Mikel's recent comments about the management of Nigerian football.

He stated that Mikel, who has had a distinguished career, has the right to express his views on issues affecting Nigerian football. However, Ameh emphasized that criticism should be accompanied by practical efforts to improve the game.

He noted that Mikel has significantly contributed to football development in Nigeria through projects like academies and grassroots initiatives. Ameh challenged Mikel to participate directly in football administration and to demonstrate his commitment to improving the management of Nigerian football.

He believes Mikel possesses solutions to the challenges facing the sport and should be prepared to accept responsibility for shaping its future.
