Kumo Endorses Consensus for Gombe APC Governorship Race

On Tuesday, Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, publicly endorsed the consensus arrangement for selecting the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Gombe State in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Kumo, a member representing Akko Federal Constituency, stated that the party must uphold loyalty and unity in its decision-making process. He highlighted the importance of either a direct primary or a consensus selection for the party's flagbearer, expressing readiness to sacrifice personal ambitions for the party's interests.

Kumo, who is a frontrunner in the governorship race, called for support from party loyalists across the state to ensure the success of the chosen candidate. He reaffirmed confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, describing them as proven democrats.
