Gunmen Abduct Ondo LG Secretary and Woman at Farm

On Monday morning, Joseph Kayod, the secretary of Okeluju Local Council Development Area, and a woman named Esther Akinlolu were abducted by gunmen at a poultry farm located along Kajola Road in Ilu Abo, Akur North Local Government Area, Ondo State. The Ondo State Police Command, through its spokesperson Abayomi Jimoh, disclosed that the victims were taken by three armed men who emerged from a nearby bush and invaded the farm, reportedly firing sporadically into the air before whisking the victims away to an unknown destination.

Following the report, the police mobilized a tactical team to the area to commence search and rescue operations, intensifying security patrols to prevent further occurrences. The police command, led by Adebowale Lawal, is committed to ensuring the safety of lives and property, urging the public to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information that could cause unnecessary panic.
