Gunmen Kill Woman and Daughter, Abduct Three in Ondo

On Thursday, gunmen attacked a poultry farm in Igushi, near Akure, Ondo State, resulting in the deaths of a woman and her daughter. During the assault, three workers were abducted.

Sources from the community reported that the assailants gained access to the farm by scaling the fence and attempted to kidnap the workers, shooting two victims in the process. After the attack, the bodies of the woman and her daughter were discovered, while the three abducted individuals were taken away by the gunmen.

The Ondo State Police Command, through its Public Relations Officer Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the incident and stated that efforts were ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators. The command condemned the violent act, expressing sorrow over the tragic loss of two innocent lives and assuring the public that adequate security measures would be implemented to ensure safety in the area.

Residents were urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies.
