Gunmen Ambush Military and Police in Kebbi State

On Tuesday night, gunmen ambushed military and police personnel in the Giro Masa community within the Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The attack led to several fatalities, although the exact number of casualties among security personnel is still unclear.

Local sources reported that at least two community members were confirmed dead. Eyewitnesses noted that the assailants targeted a military convoy en route to a construction site, setting two military gun trucks on fire during the ambush.

Residents described the incident as chaotic, with fear spreading among the population as they fled from the gunfire. As of the time of reporting, no official statement had been released by security authorities regarding the incident.
