Gunmen Attack Kebbi Mosque, Killing Five Worshippers

On Wednesday, the Kebbi State Police Command confirmed that five worshippers were killed in an attack by suspected terrorists at a mosque in Dadin Kowa, located in the Maiyama Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM during a Qur'anic tafsir session that coincided with taraweeh prayers.

The attackers stormed the mosque and opened fire on the congregation, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to three others, who are currently receiving treatment at a medical facility. Bashir Usman, the police public relations officer, stated that police operations are collaborating with security agencies to restore calm in the area and that investigations have commenced.

The police assured residents that efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the perpetrators while urging the public to remain calm and provide any information that may assist in the security operations.
