Gunmen Kill Vigilante, Abduct Four in Abuja Attack

In the early hours of Thursday, gunmen attacked the Byazhin area of Kubwa, Abuja, resulting in the death of a vigilante identified as Aliyu and the abduction of four residents. The heavily armed assailants struck the community, taking the victims into the bush.

Following the attack, a combined team of security operatives launched a search and rescue operation to locate the abducted individuals. The slain vigilante was reportedly guiding the area when the attack occurred.

Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, were unsuccessful as her phone line was unreachable at the time of the report. This incident adds to the pattern of violent raids in the area, which has prompted renewed security operations in the community.
