Kidnappers Strike Again in Abuja's Kubwa Suburb

On Saturday night, around 11 PM, kidnappers invaded a residential area near the quarry area on Arab Road in Kubwa, Abuja, abducting a resident and shooting another. The attack was reported to have occurred just before midnight, with local security personnel attempting to repel the assailants.

Dairo, a community secretary, stated that gunfire was heard from a nearby hill, and despite local security's efforts, the kidnappers successfully entered the victim's apartment. The victim's younger brother was shot during the incident.

Police arrived shortly after the attack, but the kidnappers had already escaped. Dairo noted that this incident marks the third successful kidnapping in the area in recent years, recalling previous incidents in 2021 and 2022, including the abduction of Mr.

Oshodi, who was later killed. Local security had previously repelled an attempted kidnapping in the community weeks prior.

Dairo called for the establishment of a police station and increased patrols in the area to enhance security.
