Gunmen Kill Driver, Abduct Passengers in Edo State Attack

In Edo State, gunmen attacked a commercial bus traveling towards the eastern part of Nigeria, resulting in the death of the bus driver and the abduction of an unspecified number of passengers. The attack was marked by heavy gunfire that forced the bus to halt.

A video capturing the aftermath of the incident went viral, showing the chaos and fear experienced by those involved. Eno Ikoedem, an Assistant Superintendent with the Edo State Police, confirmed the incident and stated that a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the suspects.

The attack occurred in the Iguobazuwa police division area, and the Commissioner of Police has directed a joint effort to comb the bush for the victims and arrest the perpetrators. The police are also working to improve safety along the highway in response to this incident.
