Gunmen Kill Two in Plateau State Community Attack

On Monday night at approximately 11:00 PM, gunmen attacked Kogot Village in Vwang Vom District, Jos South Local Government Area, Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of two family members: 78-year-old Ngo Shettu Badung and 52-year-old Danjuma Badung. The assailants opened fire, leading to widespread panic as residents fled for safety.

The incident was confirmed in a statement issued by Rwang Tengwong of the Berom Youth Moulder Association, highlighting the growing tension in the area following the arrest and continued detention of eight local guards in Vwang District. The association expressed concern over the recurring attacks in the community and called on security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and property.

The spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, SP Alfr Alabo, was reportedly unavailable for comment at the time of the report.
