Gwamna Cleared by APC for Gombe Governorship Primaries

Jamil Isyaku Gwamna has been officially cleared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to participate in the 2027 Gombe State governorship elections. This decision follows a screening exercise conducted in Abuja, as stated in a press release by his media aide, Sundai Ibrahim Shawai.

The screening took place at the Kaduna State Governor's Lodge, led by Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoye, the chairman of the screening committee.

Gwamna successfully met the constitutional requirements to partake in the APC governorship process. He emerged as the consensus candidate for the Gombe contest, which includes former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, and Saidu Alkali, both of whom have also submitted their intent to contest.

Gwamna praised the APC leadership for a transparent and credible process, which he believes strengthens internal democracy within the party. He pledged to build on the achievements of the current administration under Governor Muhammadu Yahaya and to introduce new ideas for the betterment of Gombe State.
