Gwarzo Withdraws from Senate Race, Endorses Barau Jibrin

Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, the Deputy Senate President, announced his withdrawal from the senatorial race to support Barau Jibrin during a high-level meeting held at the Kano State Government House on Tuesday night. The meeting included key figures such as Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo, and other prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Gwarzo's decision is seen as a significant step towards consolidating the APC's strength in the senatorial district, which has faced internal rivalries that threatened to split the party's base. Gwarzo pledged loyalty to the party's collective interest and expressed readiness to work with Jibrin in the upcoming elections.
