Gwarzo Withdraws from Senate Race, Endorses Jibrin

Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, the former Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, has officially withdrawn from the senatorial race and endorsed Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President. This significant political move occurred during a high-level meeting held on Tuesday night at the Kano Government House, brokered by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The meeting aimed to reconcile differences among prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North and strengthen party unity ahead of the next electoral cycle. A statement issued on Wednesday morning by Sanusi Batur, the Director General of Media for the Kano Government House, confirmed Gwarzo's withdrawal and his support for Jibrin.

The meeting was attended by several key political figures, including Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo, former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and others. Gwarzo expressed his commitment to the party's collective interests and pledged to support Jibrin in the forthcoming elections.
