Nollywood Actress Biola Fowoser Reveals Abandonment Struggles

Biola Fowoser, a Yoruba Nollywood actress born in Oyo State and raised in Ibadan, disclosed during an interview that her ex-husband abandoned her and their children seven years ago without explanation. This abandonment led to a significant mental health crisis for Fowoser, resulting in her requiring prolonged hospitalization for a year and a half.

She expressed confusion over why she was abandoned, stating she did not believe she deserved such treatment. Following the separation, her ex-husband cut off all contact with their children shortly after leaving, making him unreachable.

Fowoser, who began her acting career in 2009 and has appeared in various Yoruba films, has also spoken publicly about the challenges faced by Nigerian actresses regarding domestic abandonment, mental health struggles, and the financial pressures of raising children alone in an industry that offers little support.
